Welcome to Retroville! It's 1945!
On June 7, 1945, The Adventures of Topper premiered on radio. The popular series had a brief run on radio, but was soon an extremely popular series on television. Several Topper movies were also made with Leo G. Carroll playing the role of Cosmo Topper.

  • George Kirby played by Frances Chaney
  • Marion Kirby played by Hope Emerson
  • Neil, the champagne-drinking St. Bernard owned by the Kirbys

  • The series revolved around a bumbling banker, Cosmo Topper, and his friends, George and Marion Kirby, who died, but have come back to see to their affairs and manage their holdings at Cosmo's bank.
