On October 18, 1944, The Andrews Sisters along with Vic Shoen and his orchestra, recorded the slightly comedic, very tropical, Rum and Coca-Cola.
With words by Morey Amsterdam, music by Jeri Sullavan and Paul Baron, and lyrics written by comedian Morey Amsterdam (who played Buddy Sorrell on The Dick Van Dyke Show), Rum and Coca-Cola became another in a long line of hits for The Andrews Sisters.
