Make Room for Daddy premiered in 1953 and became a fast favorite in American living rooms. Danny Thomas, the show's star, brought with him a comedic talent that was both heartwarming and charming. Going though various iterations over the years, and even changing its name after four years to The Danny Thomas Show, the show remained on television until 1964. A short-lived revival occured in 1970 with Make Room for Granddaddy, but it never caught on like the original.
