In 1958, Tommy Edwards released It's All in the Game. The song was written by Charles Dawes (later Vice President under Calvin Coolidge) with lyrics by Carl Sigman. The song rose to the number 1 position on Billboard's Top 100 charts where it stayed for six weeks.

Rereleased in 1958 as the B-side of Please Love Me Forever, the song again hit the charts, peaking at number 23.
